Iphone 7 Revew and Specifications One Month Later

People waited the release of the new iPhone the Apple Store, eager to be among the first to get their hands on iPhone 7. Now, having lived with either the regular sized iPhone 7 or the larger iPhone 7 Plus for four weeks, we've had a real chance to test out the new cameras, see if we could survive without the 3.5 mm headphone jack, experiment with water resistance, get used to the force touch Home button, put the new battery through its paces, and see if the wide gamut screen and A10 Fusion processor really made a difference.

The Apple iPhone 7 is a single SIM (GSM) smartphone that accepts a Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope.

Obviously, it it the best iPhone ever. The iPhone 7 is a great piece of hardware, buoyed by the solid state home button, which I love, and the water resistance, which is essential. And the cameras, which I'll touch on more in a moment, are enormous improvements. Absolutely. I find myself using them a lot more than previously, in part to play clips for others where I would have otherwise asked them to hook up headphones. Calls over speaker sound much better than they used to, and receiving audio from an iPhone 7 on speaker also is significantly improved.

Mikah: (Review from I had my first "Oh no! I don't have my dongle" event a couple days ago. I was riding in a friend's vehicle and I wanted them to listen to an album I was recommending. They had the AUX cord, so I thought I was set … until I remembered what phone I was carrying. The funny part is, my friend was not interested in hearing the album I was trying to play, so it worked out in the end. For the most part, I'm fine without the jack. I have a dongle in my car, a dongle on my favorite headphones, and use bluetooth headphones or speakers in all other settings and situations.

Behind the Scenes of Captain America: Civil War (2016)

Marvel has already released the behind-the-scene of the Captain America: Civil War. The best part of the movie happened at the German airport where Team Iron Man and Team Captain America clashes. It was the most entertaining sequences in Holywood history.

How much of it was CGI? “Spider-Man, Giant-Man, and Black Panther are always one-hundred percent CGI,” Earl explained. “Iron Man, War Machine, and then we’ve got Vision.

Spider-Man, Black Panther, and a 50-foot tall Ant-Man all get in on the action, and while it all seems to be seamlessly integrated with footage shot on a physical location, what audiences actually see was created almost entirely at Industrial Light & Magic.

"The airport is a hundred percent digital," ILM visual effects supervisor Russell Earl tells me over the phone. "Spider-Man, Giant-Man, and Black Panther are always one-hundred percent CG. Iron Man, War Machine, and then we’ve got Vision." The exceptions were characters like Black Widow, Captain America, or Winter Soldier — basically, the few people not wearing a mask of some sort. But while directors Joe and Anthony Russo did shoot at an airport in Germany, only a handful of principal cast members were there — with the majority of the live-action footage shot against a giant green screen in Atlanta, Georgia and assembled by the visual effects team later.

The Hero Dad Who Saved His Son From Flying Baseball Bat

Landon Cunningham's 9th birthday celebration and first trip to a Major League baseball game changed from near disaster to relief in a split second, all thanks to his hero dad.

Landon was looking at his phone while texting his mom a picture from Saturday's Pirates-Braves spring training game when Pittsburgh outfielder Danny Ortiz lost control of his bat at the plate.

That sent the bat hurtling into the stands behind first base, directly at Landon's face.

OF Ortiz: "My wife said to me, 'You almost killed that kid!' "

At the last instant, his father, Shaun Cunningham, stuck out his arm to block the bat from hitting his son.

“It happened so fast, I didn’t have time to think about it. Once I realized that, in fact, it was heading for us, specifically my son, I just threw my arm out and tried to block it the best that I could”, said Shaun.

Cunningham and his son, Landon, had gone to the Pirates-Braves game as a birthday present for Landon, who turns 9-years-old next week.

Shaun said, “It was the first time Landon had been to professional baseball game, I was waiting until he was a little older, and we were sitting there watching the game and he had asked to borrow my phone so he could take a couple of pictures to send to his mom and sister.”

“I was just about to send it when I felt something hit me and I didn’t even know what it was. It went flying and it hit my shoulder”, said Landon.

Watch out for video here:
While Landon did get hit in the shoulder, it was his dad who took the brunt of the bat’s force, but both say they’re no worse for wear.

Because of incidents like this, Major League Baseball has asked teams to install more protective netting in stadiums. source: today, cbslocal

Disney Confirms $350M Investment for Disneyland Philippines

Filipinos need not to go to other countries to visit Disneyland anymore after 2 years starting today after The Walt Disney Company chairman Andy Bird, announced on Friday that the company has set aside $350 million to be invested in the Philippines.

Vice President for global public policy Jim Flippatos said Disney finds the Philippines as a great location for entertainment and amusement goers.

Bird said they will visit the country next month (March) to shop for a great location.
It was announced earlier in one of the company’s press releases that possible locations includes Batangas, Laguna, Bulacan, and Pampanga area.

“I think Metro Manila is already extremely crowded. We need at least 125 acres (50 hectares) of land to house the Disneyland Philippines”, Flippatos said.
Bird clarified that the Philippine investment plan was decided two years ago, contrary to the report that President Aquino convinced the company.

“It has nothing to do with our meeting with the Philippine president last week. The plan was already finalized before and meeting with President Aquino was just to finalize the deal”, Bird noted.

Watch out for video here:

Another executive Mark Paulson said that the Disneyland Philippines could provide at least twelve thousand local jobs.
“Once we finalize the deal with the land owners, we will start the construction as soon as possible. Our target is to open by summer of 2018”, Paulson said.
